Announcement of Nubia Z30 Pro: Snapdragon 888 flagship with three 64MP cameras and 120W fast charging


Nubia, a sub-brand of the Chinese giant ZTE, has announced its next flagship. This is Nubia Z30 Pro based on the top-end Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset and with a display with a refresh rate of 144 Hz. But first things first.

Let’s start with the external equipment of the new ZTE smartphone. At the front, it has a 6.67-inch curved OLED display with Full HD + resolution, 20: 9 aspect ratio, 144Hz refresh rate, support for 10-bit colors and HDR10 +. And on the back is a quad camera, consisting of a main 64-megapixel module with a Sony IMX686 sensor with optical image stabilization, a 64-megapixel module with a 35 mm lens and a 64-megapixel module with ultra-wide-angle optics with a viewing angle of 120 degrees, as well as an 8-megapixel camera with periscope lens with 5x optical and 50x digital zoom.

The company top-end Qualcomm chipset, depending on the model chosen, ranges from 8 to 16 GB of RAM and from 256 to 512 GB of internal memory. Also inside the case is a rechargeable battery with a capacity of 4600 mAh. The included 120W charger takes just 15 minutes to fully charge your smartphone. Everything is controlled by the proprietary Nubia UI 9.0 firmware, based on Android 11 and receiving an updated user interface with new icons, wallpapers and animations.

In China, sales of the Nubia Z30 Pro will start on May 25. The cost starts at 4999 yuan or 777 dollars for the model with 8/256 GB of memory and reaches 5999 yuan or 932 dollars for the top version with 16/512 GB of memory. There is also a variant in the middle with 12/256 GB of memory for 5399 yuan or 840 dollars.
