Distribution of unprecedented generosity.

Today, our capital actively distributes to other Russian cities of trams, trolley buses and buses. In world practice, such distribution of rolling stock is quite a typical phenomenon, and most often, such a used rolling stock goes for a reduced, or a symbolic price. In our country, Moscow trams, trolley buses and buses get other Russian cities free. This is a unique case in the practice of the industry. Nevertheless, many managers of municipalities and enterprises of urban transport, taking into account the emergency condition of their fleets of technology, consider this distribution as Manna Heaven. Our channel decided to look at it with a sideline look and saw both the pros and cons of such distribution.

And let’s start with the fact that the previous mayor of Moscow Yuri Luzhkov sought to enter the history of the capital as a transport reformer. But to the tram, the attitude of Yuri Mikhailovich was negative: the Moscow City Hall shot the tramways on Leningradsky Avenue, a number of other destinations. That is, it treated this type of transport is not too civilized. And not wise, because Luzhkov did not see and did not know European experience, but acted on his own.

Let us give an example not to be unfounded. In 2007, a tram returned to Paris after a 70-year-old break, which was destroyed in 1937. On the solemn ceremony of opening a new line tram in Marshals of France, Paris Mayor Bertrand Delanoe invited the mayors of the largest European cities, as well as mayors of the capitals of Algeria, Tunisia, Madagascar and any other exotic countries. But this list did not have the Moscow Gradorographer Luzhkov.

But new trams and trolleybuses rich Moscow budget could afford: they were purchased.

The era of Luzhkov ended, and the team of the new mayor of Moscow Sergei Sobyanin became quite different to the transport problem. She began to act with a loan to European experience: after all, the situation with transport became intolerable. But we will leave the analysis of this issue for another material. We are also interested in a slight other aspect. Namely, why the attraction of unprepaid generosity was held: a mass update of the rolling stock of passenger transport and distributing it to other cities.

How to summarized a foreign tram, and not only the capital

The new team of the mayor of Moscow, which began to fulfill their duties at the beginning of the decade, developed a program for the development of the transport complex of the capital. One of the items of which was the acquisition of modern low-voltage rolling stock. If everything was clear with buses and trolley buses, and there were no problems, since domestic automakers produced such a rolling stock. For example, a completely low-grade Liaz-5292 LOW-class low-class bus, or completely low-voltage trolleybuses «Megapolis», then the trams came out. The domestic producer of IVED (byst-katav) was only an experienced, not a serial sample. The output was found pretty simple. In the competition announced by the Moscow Government won the Polish manufacturer of PESA trams from the city of Bigzchav for the supply of 120 articulated cars. However, this factory directly under the law could not supply the rolling stock into Moscow, so the enterprise «Uraltransmash» from Yekaterinburg became its partner. The tram was assigned the Russian name 71-414, but this was truly the PESA FoxTrot model.

The contract started in 2014, but here the force majeure occurred — the devaluation of the ruble happened. In 2016, Moscow City Hall raised the contract «In connection with non-compliance with the delivery time,» because the amounts specified in the contract could not buy 120 wagons. Today in Moscow only 70 «Foxtrot». And the trams produced by the Polish enterprise, but not delivered to the Russian capital, went to Kiev.

Some countries of the country also tried to bet on foreign models. At the beginning of the decade, German cities got rid of trams from the old rolling stock. There was a unique opportunity to update and replenish the tram park at the expense of the Czech trams «Tatra» well preserved in German conditions.

In the same way, I wanted to go neighbor

Liberation of the place in the depot

After the contract for the supply of Polish PESA Moscow was broken, the process of updating the capital tram fleet was not stopped. Moscow needed to correspond to the modern cultural city. And the output was found. The Moscow Government announced a competition for the supply of 300 three-sectional low-voltage trams. The winner was «Metrovonmash» and his partner of PC Transport Systems. They pledged to put three-section low-profil trams «Vityaz» (100 pcs per year). Supply passed in 2017-2019. And the Tver Carriage Factory became the baseline assembly of trams harmonica.

But here the problem unexpectedly revealed. The capital tram park has a slightly less than 500 wagons, has several depot. But there are no places in these depot for such a huge number of new trams.

These trams are not so old, given that the normative life of trams is 16 years. With proper care, they can work longer. It turned out that such a free gift, as more

The first, the most old trams of the 90s of the issue began to go to Novosibirsk, Saratov, Tomsk already in 2016. It was a high-depth model KTM-608.

But the most impressive distribution of Moscow trams came to 2018-2020. Then they began to distribute a more recent model KTM-619. But she is morally outdated — highly populated.

This is a reliable, strong, good domestic tram KTM-619 with the face of Siemens. Now we will give a list of cities that have become owners of this model, departed from the capital tram park. The most distant acquirers of the 619th model of the city are located behind the Urals —

In the European part «lucky» became regional centers —

If you think that this is completed on this, then you are very mistaken. Today, Moscow has signed another contract for the supply of new cars. Within two coming years, 40 single-section new trams of «Lionok» will be delivered from the TS PC, which will be used on less loaded routes, as well as 74 three-section trams «Vityaz». For them, it is also necessary to release a place in the depot.

In Moscow, there is still a very large number of Czech trams «Tatra» of the 80s of the last century. They walked overhaul and are in good condition. Today, these Czech «Tatras» became the first for the next distribution by Russian cities. Already gone on the banks of the Volga to work in the famous Volgograd Metrostroms First Party. In the queue, sending 10 Tatras in the Siberian «Tatrometry» Barnaul. Another 10 pieces will go to Nizhny Novgorod, accurate, under the celebration of the 800th anniversary of the city. Rostov authorities are waiting for 24 Czech trams. But the largest batch will receive Saratov (30 pieces).

Here is a story with the continuation. It is noteworthy that she chronologically coincides with
