Last year, Samsung launched the Galaxy S20 Fan Edition or S20 FE, a lighter version of the flagship Galaxy S20 smartphone. And this year, according to insiders, the Korean company will present its successor in the person of the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE. The new smartphone is about to go into mass production.
According to sources, the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE, like the Galaxy S20 FE, will receive a flagship chipset and will be offered at a more affordable price than the base model Galaxy S20. The official premiere of the new smartphone is scheduled for August, then it will go on sale. And serial production will begin in July.
According to analyst Ross Young, the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE will be unveiled at Samsung’s August 19 launch alongside two new foldable smartphones. The budget flagship will be offered in four colors — gray, light green, light purple and white. In general, in terms of design, it is similar to the base Samsung Galaxy S21. The FE version of the flagship is credited with numerous leaks of a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 2400 by 1080 pixels, a refresh rate of 120 Hz, a built-in fingerprint scanner and HDR10 + support. On top, it will have a small O-shaped hole for the front camera for selfies and video calling. Considering that last year’s Samsung Galaxy S20 FE is based on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor, it is quite possible that the new product will receive either the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 sub-flagship chipset or the Exynos 2100 proprietary platform. The smartphone will be offered in configurations with 128 and 256 GB drives.
The exact cost of the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE is still unknown. But, they say that it will be even cheaper than the Samsung Galaxy S20, which at the start of sales cost $ 699.
